Partnering on a research project
Dr. Daphne Rixon is Associate Professor of Accounting. She has a PhD in accounting from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA). She has over 20 years experience in the private and public sectors as Controller and Director of Finance. Dr. Rixon has a very productive research program which has resulted in over 30 peer-reviewed publications and conference presentations. She is a member of the Editorial Boards for Managerial Finance and the Journal of Co-operative Accounting and Reporting and is a frequent reviewer for Public Management. In addition to her position of Associate Professor, she is also the Executive Director of the Centre of Excellence in Accounting and Reporting for Co-operatives (CEARC) where she is responsible for the overall administration of CEARC, co-ordinating research projects and overseeing the development of International Statements of Recommended Practices for Co-operatives.
